This Acme is like all the rest. I find it way over priced and I always have to look at dates because they notoriously keep expired items on the shelf and in the cold section. I just went in to get Envy apples as they are the only store that still has them stocked, BUT they were mostly soft and rippled with a $2.99/lb price tag. Its not all bad though. Its usually open on holidays when other stores have closed, its very close to my neighborhood and clean. When a sale occurs on decent products, its usually a good deal.
Acme market has great sales but when they don't their prices are very high. Acme market at this particular one does not check all of the dates on their products. I have found them to be extremely faulty in date checking, for instance a whole display of eggs were out dated by two weeks, mayonnaise with an expiration date three weeks to expire. Yogurts, cheeses are the greatest overlooked dated items. They really need to get their act together. I could go on and on with out dated products to numerous to mention. Acme at this location on a positive note is clean , the staff is friendly and it is close to my home. I will still patronize this Acme but I will proceed with caution as you should also. One more thing their double tools of Bounty two pack is priced to nearly seven dollars when you can get it at Wal-Mart for 4.59 . It's crazy, I know. That's it I am done for now. Thanks Carol
Would be nice if there were employees on the floor to help customers find there products.
The store is divided up with horizontal and vertical aisles. They often do not make sense with how the merchandise is divided which is frustrating. First aid and beauty products, and produce and bakery together but that's where the smilarities end. As you are walking down the soup aisle the second half could be cereal. Meat, fish, and dairy make up the walls.
It's not that I dislike Acme Markets. It's just that Acme is too expensive. It is ridiculous how expensive Acme is. The only reason that I go there is for the fried chicken and that is expensive too. We do also get the guacamole and handmade chips when they're on sale. You can't really make a meal out of the chicken because you end up spending more money on the sides then you did for the chicken! And that just doesn't make any sense to me. So, I just buy the chicken and make the rest of the at home from other places where buy food.
