The hotel was good as far as looks. They gave free breakfast. Nice dining area. They do have a small gym.The staff were friendly.
Lights in the room are burned out without repair but that's not a huge deal.
Our non smoking room reeks of smoke
Stains on sheets upon arrival to our, "clean" room.

The staff told us before our stay the pool is working fine, but upon arrival they said it is broke and no one knows when it will be fixed.
Upon check-in at about 10pm, I was advised that the regular elevators and the service elevator were out of service. How can a 7-story hotel not have an emergency elevator service contract that can get elevators running quickly when they break down? Of greater concern was the fact that there was no porter to assist with carrying bags? Broken elevators are an understandable fact of life. Being too cheap to have an effective elevator service contract on weekends or to hire porters to assist your guests in unacceptable. I will not be staying with La Quinta Inn & Suites in the future.
FYI for handicap guests it would be very difficult to get in the bed. Very high off the ground.
They comped our 1st night for the wait of the room.
We prepaid for our room prior to arrival and the hotel was still not ready for us. Our rooms were not cleaned before and throughout our stay and the fridge was not working. The outside portion of the property looks really nice and attractive, but there is a slight contrast when you are enroute to your room, this also includes the rooms. The location is in a quiet neighborhood with some nice places to eat. We decided to walk to the Philly Diner that is open 24 hours with a live band. To close out my review I believe the hotel was understaffed but if this is the case, I hope that things will improve soon since there are quite a few things that need attention.
We waited 1.5 hours to get our room. Check in is at 3pm. We arrived at 330pm and didn't get in our room until 5pm. The staff said they didn't have enough people to clean. 5 different parties shared our experience as well.
The positives:
No signs to clean bed or do not disturb.
HOWEVER!, The elevator didn't work.

Our stay started off on the wrong foot but the staff made up for it! The front desk clerk did her best to accommodate me and my friends! We had to move 3 times because of minor things but she was right there to help us out! Which we greatly appreciated! The staff are really friendly and don't mind answering your questions! I give the hotel a 3 because it's outdated but they tried to do some upgrading but the staff gets 5 stars! And one last tid bit the area is quiet but has everything you need in the area! Oh yea pull your sheets back!!
Lastly, the breakfast this morning was completely disgusting. That's putting it nicely. Staff stood there with the room completely trashed cooking waffles for what seemed to be a guest staying here that was also a friend. The guest was yelling her business very loudly and her children were spilling syrup and cereal all over the places. My wife and I stood in line for 20 min. To then find no food left for breakfast. This was around 9am. Breakfast closes at 1030am. We decided to leave and go pay to have something to eat later.

This year is horrible. We're on our 1st night of four so we are not happy at all.
Staff seemed honestly sorry for our experience.

If your thinking of staying here, please don't the money you'll save will only haunt you through frustration. This hotel seems to be going down hill fast.
We are staying here for the second time in 2 years. Our 1st experience in 2016 was nice the only complaint I had was we waited an hour to get in our room because they were busy.
My boyfriend ordered the room from a 3rd party. If I would've known about the elevator being down ahead of time, I would've never had him waste his money. For anyone who may want the exercise, this hotel is recommended.
